Breitach Gorge
As the glaciers melted during the last Ice Age, more than 8,000 years ago, the Breitach river cut through the solid rock.
This created Breitach Gorge, the deepest gorge in Central Europe, stretching 2.5 km and reaching a depth of around 150 m.
